THE men’s badminton doubles team of MJ Galang and Jess Pangilinan and the women’s doubles of Gay Salac and Joniva Almazan capped the 2012 Philippine Australian Sports and Culture (PASC) badminton tournament on Sunday, July 8 by winning titles in their events.
The tournament attracted an impressive player turnout social clubs around Sydney, a multicultural event with Filipinos dominating the field which included ethnic team of Chinese, Indians, and Indonesians.
The tournament enjoyed the continued financial support of sponsors like Resipro Development, MVA Financial Services, Accounting First and Celcius Media.

INTERMEDIATE ‘A’ – DIVISION – (men’s doubles) winners John Arroyo and Marlon Nacua; runners-up Glen Macaraeg and Michael Avellana. (mixed doubles) winners Glo Araullo and Michael Avellana; runners-up Love Bacaya and Arnel Basas.
INTERMEDIATE ‘B’ – DIVISION – (men’s doubes) winners Ivan Reyes and Mandy Cantoria; runners-up Leo Villanueva and Robert Reyes. (women’s doubles) winners Shiela Austria and Love Bacaya; runners-up Rose Acosta and Glo Araullo. (mixed doubles) winners Ivan Reyes and April Araullo; runners-up Reggie Natividad and Lorna dela Cruz.
INTERMEDIATE ‘C’ – DIVISION – (mixed doubles) winners Jarryl Flores and Rose Acosta; runners-up Alvin Labios and Ayen Manahan.
