THE THIRD and last hip-hop (HHI) qualifier was held last month at the Blacktown Leisure Centre confirming the final list of dance crews going to Las Vegas for the world championships.

Triumphant Qualifier III winners who will go to Vegas together with the Qualifier 1 & II winners are the Poorfellows (Juniors), Royal Knights (Varsity), Royalty Crew (Adult), and the Empire (Mega Crew).
“I am satisfied with the composition of the 2013 Australian national hip hop dance squad. Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast are well represented,” said International Australian country director Marco Selorio.
“Now, the hard work starts. The road to Vegas will be tough; we are up against the very best street dancers in the world. Australia has never won a gold medal and that is what we are all striving for.
“I believe we have some exciting new teams that will help us get there. We will be organising numerous fundraising events to help our dancers get to the World Championship,” Mr. Selorio added.
Emceed by hip-hop impresario Marco Selorio himself and Michael “Tiny” Flores (Australia’s Got Talent, Everybody Dance) the entertainment showcases were performed by Carla Wehbe, Paul Kerollos and Tee Togia, The Pirates and the Judges on its HHI hippy version.
