The basketball exhibition game highlighted the annual Filipino Day supported by the Sydney Kings organised by impresario Marco Selorio and sponsored by MoneyGram.
The Filipino celebration also featured a hip-hop performance by FMD Xtreme at the Kings v Wildcats half-time break.
Point guard Ricky Bautista led the Fil-Aus charge and put the side ahead early in the game.
Rooty Hill’s Finest captain Bryan Adduru spearheaded a bold effort to blunt the Fil-Aus attack and stay within striking distance. But the speed and firepower against them by the combined talent of Byron Murphy, Ottaner Francisco and Michael Ellazar was simply too much to overcome.
This was evident from the 10-point difference in the final score.
The main game went against the local Sydney Kings, 85-66, dethroned comprehensively by Perth Wildcats.
