JAYHAWKS point-guard Jude Villanueva swept the rug from under Amigos in the 2015 NSW State Filos Champions Basketball Cup final with a three-pointer in the dying seconds.

In retaining the title, the JayHawks turned back a strong challenge from Amigos with a 45-44 nail-biting victory on the June long-weekend at Bankstown Stadium.
With 27 seconds left in the final, Mel Gile shot a two-pointer to put Amigos ahead, 44-42, leaving the JayHawks looking down the barrel of a gun.
Then the trey from Villanueva struck to seal the game for the defending champions.
The eliminations rounds had JayHawks and Aguman on top of Group A, with Amigos and Merque leaders in Group B.
Cross-over semifinals were won by JayHawks over Merque, 58.34, and Amigos over Aguman, 58-29, for the grand final showdown.
Competing in the NSW Champions’ Cup were defending champion JayHawks, Amigos, Juggernaughts, Papzi Boys, Merque, FNC Miller, and Aguman.
Named the 2015 Cup’s most valuable player was JayHawks’ Nay Sakya.
