FAIRGOLF TAKES 66TH FIL-AM SENIOR CUP
Fairgolf Sydney Senior team captained by Carlos Perez won as 2nd Runner up in the prestigious and long running 66thFil-Am Golf Invitational held in Baguio City, Philippines on November 18-26, 2015.
Team members were Danny Martinez, Bert Bugayong, Ruben Bugnosen & Patrick Loo. It was really a team effort playing the final 72 holes each using individual stableford; five to play and four to count towards the team. Accumulated total points were compared with other eight teams in the same category.
“Although there was no cash prize but individual trophies plus team trophy only, it was very exciting to win this event which is considered the biggest amateur golf tournament in the Philippines today” said Captain Carlos Perez with pride.
Both Baguio Country Club and Camp John Hay Golf Club were used for this year’s Fil-Am Golf Invitational principally sponsored by San Miguel Corporation with naming rights.
It will be recalled that the same team won similar category five years ago captained by this writer but with entirely different team members.
Meanwhile, here’s wishing our readers a healthy, wealthy, safe and happy new year 2016.
